I was invited by Habitat for Humanity of Clallam County to come and shoot some images as well as video for their second annual Wine Festival at the Cedars at Dungeness. Partly to document the event and partly for an upcoming video that we are working on for their website.
I brought along my assistant Jenna Rose to help me with the shoot. While we shot vendors, food, and the bands Locals Only and the Straight Shots who kept the crowd hopping with lively rock and roll on a rainy day in July, we also enjoyed ourselves immensely. We met a ton of people from all over Washington state that came to the benefit to enjoy 17 different wine vendors and 2 micro breweries that were helping the Habitat folks provide adequate shelter for the under-housed of Clallam County. Along with the libations, the food was to die for! Loads of fresh fruit, veggies, cheeses of all shapes and sizes, smoked salmon, oysters, salamis, bread and more!
The event brought out hundreds of people who enjoyed the backdrop of the Cedars at Dungeness, the premier golf course owned by the Jamestown S’Klallam tribe in the Dungeness Valley near Sequim, Washington. The Cedars folks were everywhere and so very nice.
Ever so often the Habitat crew would get up and start picking raffle tickets that people bought generously to help them with their vision. The prizes of wine, gift baskets, and more were incredible. The Habitat folks really know how to put on a benefit and it showed. Everyone had a great time, including this photographer/videographer along with his assistant! Can’t wait for next year’s event!
